This Privacy Policy describes how Vedic AI ("we", "our", or "the App") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application. By using Vedic AI, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Information We Collect

To generate accurate Vedic astrology charts (Kundli) and predictions, we collect the following information that you voluntarily provide:

• Name (optional, used only for personalizing reports)
• Date of Birth
• Time of Birth
• Place of Birth (city / geographic coordinates)
• Gender (optional, used for traditional chart interpretations)

We do not collect your contact list, photos, location (beyond birth place you enter manually), microphone, or any background data.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information you provide is used solely to:

• Generate your Vedic astrology birth chart and related calculations
• Provide personalized astrological insights and predictions
• Improve the accuracy and quality of the App

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

To perform astrological calculations, Vedic AI uses the following third-party services:

• Prokerala API — Birth data (date, time, place) is securely transmitted to Prokerala for chart computation. Refer to Prokerala's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — Our backend infrastructure is hosted on Vercel. Refer to Vercel's Privacy Policy.

These services receive only the minimum data required to perform their function.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your birth data may be temporarily cached on our servers to improve App performance and reduce repeated computations. We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmissions. We do not store sensitive personal identifiers like Aadhaar, PAN, financial information, or government IDs.

5. Data Retention

Birth chart computation results may be cached for up to 90 days to improve performance. You may request deletion of any stored data at any time by contacting us at the email below.

6. Your Rights

In accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for data processing
• File a grievance with the Data Protection Board of India

7. Children's Privacy

Vedic AI is intended for users aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

8. Permissions Used by the App

Vedic AI requests only the minimum permissions necessary:

• Internet access — to communicate with our secure backend

We do not access your camera, microphone, contacts, SMS, call logs, or device location.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notice or updated "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
